The spirit of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games lives on!
The Games may be over, however, the legacy continues. Developed in partnership with the The Government of Ontario and TO2015, the Pan Am/Parapan Am Kids Program lives on, helping children and youth continue to learn about and participate in different sport, recreational and cultural activities.
Resources and activities have been developed for elementary and secondary educators, after-school leaders and recreational staff. The four components of the program include:
A resource that connects kids of all abilities to the fun and excitement of the TORONTO 2015 Games through physical and cultural activities and health living lessons.
An online tool to monitor and assess physical literacy knowledge, set individual goals and motivate children and youth to achieve their personal best.
An online learning resource that can be linked to the Ontario Health and Physical Education curriculum. It helps children and youth build the skills and knowledge they need to lead active, healthy lives.
A kit with 13 activity cards that relate to healthy living and sports/parasports that were featured the TORONTO 2015 Games, that includes a guide explaining how to set up each activity.
